Day 1 & 2 at Singapore

12/22/2014 08:58:00 PM

I haven't been to Singapore for around 2 years or so. Since I'm done with spm, mummy decided to go and stay at daddy's apartment. Unfortunately my kor kor couldn't join us coz he's still having classes at mmu.

We actually wanted to depart from pd on Saturday at midnight to avoid the jam but daddy was too tired. I freaked out having to see the newspaper saying the jam from msia to sg and vice versa took up till 6 hours. I'll go insane for sure having to wait for so long. We went on Sunday noon instead. We stopped by to eat some kuih before going to the custom.

Abby called me up while I'm in the car after that. It was the visiting day. Apparently 80% of the campers were sick. Yummy had sore throat and was coughing while my bae was down with fever. Kesian. She was telling me she'll be coming out of camp for 3 days. Hopefully I'll be back by then to see her.

The jam wasn't too bad when we reach there. Thank God! It took use 1 hour to pass through. Considering it was a weekend, it's pretty good.

We went to daddy's apartment first to carry up our luggage and stuffs at Jurong West. We wanted to take the bus to Orchard road that night but it was drizzling. We dropped off the idea and took a bus to Jurong point instead to do some shopping. It cost 1.30 dollar for just a few traffic lights away lol. Thanks to the excellent job those people up there are doing, our currency dropped and it's now 1:2.65 ( on 23/12 ). Crap, I swear when I checked 2 days ago it was 2.61, yest 2.64 and within a few hours it became 2.65?! Bloody hell.

But wait, it's not entirely a bad news. Daddy is working at sg now so it's good news lol hahah.

We went for window shopping lol. There were so so many clothes that I wanted but I couldn't ask for them. I mean, even if it was on sale, it's still slightly more expensive than in m'sia. We bought food to compensate that lol. Mummy bought some waffle hot dog thingy to snack on and daddy bought raw salmon to keep for his dinner next time.

Reminder: Keep to your left on elevators as people might want to pass by on the right.

I told daddy about it and told him to keep left and shot me the "I-am-an-adult-I-am-correct" face and refused to do so. Ughh. I don't know whether he's being rebellious or trying to overpower me, either way not working. =p I pulled him to the left a few times and there were really people passing by on the right.

The christmas deco was everywhere too! There was also a group of people caroling. I could finally feel the christmas vibes.

Big Christmas tree! <3
Sorry, it's blurry TT

One small shop near the corner caught my attention. To my surprise it was... 豪大大炸鸡排. The gigantic fried chicken chop I ate at Taiwan. The shop was one of the branches! Lol imagine how good is it to the extent where I could rmb how good it was since last year's trip to Taiwan.

We went to the "Malaysia corner" (I think) for dinner. Coming all the way from msia to sg, eat msia food pulak. Hahha. But it was packed everywhere so we didn't really had an option. Daddy ate "men yi mien", mummy ate "nga pou chicken rice" and I ate fried oyster.

We went back after walking around a little longer. I wanted to blog that night but yeah, I got too lazy and played Ace Attorney instead. I still haven't finish playing anyone of it after so long lol. I love love love the game. Hahha. xD

And this pretty much sums up Day 1.

The next day, I woke up around 9 sth without alarm for the first time in forever. Hah, so proud of myself. Daddy went to work so I just had 3-4 bites of a bread for breakfast. I watched sao while mummy vacuumed the place once, mopped the floor and then vacuumed for the 2nd time. Over ambitious mother. But I love her. Hhahah.

Daddy was back around 12.30 since it was winter solstice. No, I didn't have any tang yuan. So saddd. TT It was also the day where the form 3 students took their PT3 results. I got worried of my spm results after seeing everyone's thoughts on fb. Ughh.

We went to the nearby bus stop and waited for 30 minutes for Bus number 502. It's a direct bus from
Jurong West to Orchard road. 2.70 dollar per person. But the best part was that the bus we rode was a double decker! Woohoo! Def my 1st. <3

It was nice to sight-see sg on the bus. The thing that I like about sg is that trees are planted along the road and it's shady almost everywhere. Whereas back in my beloved country, everyone cut down tree at the roadside like their grandfather own them. Burning rubbish like it is a must-do daily routine.

The bus service in sg is also very efficient. It's just that the place we wanted to go was far away and there was only a few buses of number 502. The other buses with numbers 243 and 181 come by almost every 5 minutes.

It took us an hour by bus to Orchard road. We went for our lunch first as I was superrr hungry. ><
We went to the food court at the basement for lunch. Mummy ate Yang zhou fried rice, I ate "mai pian" fried tempura and egg rice, while daddy at mee with pork and soup. Forgive me for not taking a photo of it because I was practically dying of hunger.

We took photos along Orchard road!
Panda~

The biggest Christmas tree at Orchard road! Spot le tiny me xp

Inside of the Christmas tree~

Oops, sorry for my finger there.
Shout out to the awesome girl on the right doing yoga while having her photo taken.

Lollipops and reindeers. I didn't know they come as a pack.

Lol daddy laughed at me while taking it and I got so embarrassed. TT

There were many volunteers on the streets having these mini stations where they give free gift (imagine the amount of people queueing up for it), mini games and this huge art thingy where people just use highlighters given by the volunteers and colour anywhere they want!

I got the pink highlighter!

Check out the others doing it!

This Christmas tree had two angels guarding it. xD

Favourite out of the whole lot. I actually like my dyed hair now more than black hahha. xD

As you can see, Topshop, Topman were at the back. Mind you F21, Mango and all the other branded lines such as Coach, MK, Prada, LV, you name it, they were all there. In a huge store. It's sorta like Johor Premium Outlet I went when it was just opened. Yes, I resisted going into any of the shops. I didn't wanna waste daddy's money like that. TT

Another Christmas tree~

We went to Jurong East by mrt around 5 sth. I don't know how long it took us but roughly 45 minutes or 1 hour or so I guess. I fell asleep in the mrt hahah even though I was supposed to be awake to look out when we'll be reaching hahah. xD

We switched stations again to.. err.. lol, somewhere I can't rmb. Woodlands? Hahah. We were eventually back at the Jurong point mall. We bought some bread for breakfast next day (which is today, yes I'm blogging at sg) and bought two chicken chop for dinner. One from Shilin and the other one from the Taiwan shop I mentioned because we can. Thinking back, it was weird for us to do that. Hahah. Blog post on both the chicken shop here.

Being our cheapskate selves, we decided to walk all the way from there to the apartment. 1.30 per person for such a short distance is too much. It wasn't bad walking back either. We can see people jogging and cycling along the way and at the park. Hahah. xD

I actually slept at 10.30. Well because the wifi was suddenly cut off and my laptop couldn't access. No choice but to sleep. Of course my daddy was delighted by it. Hahahha.

It's the third day today. Daddy will only be back by 7pm. Mummy and I are heading towards the mini mall near the apartment for lunch and also some shopping. Till then.

xoxo
