Helloooooo. I apologize for the super super long break from posting. I really really wanted to blog but really, I didn't have the time. Well I just finished watching "You Who Came From The Stars", a high rated Korean drama ( my third korean drama followed by "The Heirs" and "Prime Minister and I" ) because almost everyone I know mentioned this drama. So I thought what the heck, might as well check it out for myself. I got so hooked up I actually finished all my work in god-like speed and spent the night watching it. I used up roughly 6 study-days to finish off. Proud of myself though, hahhaha xD

So this post is mainly on the things I had missed out ( as much as I can remember ) during the Chinese New Year week. This blog post will be mainly on photos because I don't actually recall every single thing that happened. Please forgive me for that. Anyways, enjoyyyyy ;D

We ( my family and I ) celebrated Ah Hor kor kor's baby girl's first birthday! ( she's 1-year-old ) She is soooooo so cute oh my gosh, I couldn't help 'kyaaaa' and smiling like a fool when I see her. Too. Cute. To. Handle. Hahahaha Anyways, it was the day before CNY's Eve! I was looking forward to welcome all my cousins back to PD! Without further ado, photos of the night!

After the dinner, we went to a nearby shopping mall (which I forgot the name) to look for cheongsam for Melanie. Last year, one of my cousies set "traditional clothes" as a theme for every CNY for the Lim family. Of course there were pros and cons to it. The pros were I was super happy to finally own and actually wear a Cheongsam. To think that my first time wearing it was in a small fitting room at Taiwan. Hahhaha. The cons were more for the guys. Most of them especially my uncles were shy to shy tang zhuang / sam fu. Same goes to my bro and dad. Unlike cheongsam, sam fu is actually very hard to find. Hahha.
We didn't get to find any in the end and went back. Melanie was telling me to watch "you who came from the stars" otw back. Hahhah.

CNY's Eve!

So this is basically what we did in the morning.

Educational talk among cousies.

Political talk among the elders.

In the afternoon, we went for cheongsam hunting at Seremban for Mel and my second aunt ( Zhi Xuan's mom). We went Aeon and terminal. On the way there, Soo Yi gave me a talk on her being a lawyer. Lawyer apprentice to be exact. But she got very very good grades to even skip a grade during her studies at UK. I actually thought of studying law but that was my second choice ( although not knowing what's my first ). The way she explained it to me, it seems not that, as in THAT bad compared to medic related courses. She even said this " Every Tom, Dick and Harry could become a lawyer. As long as you're willing to sit on your fat ass and study the book for 6 hours." But do take note she has a very very good memory. I suck at memorizing. I personally feel add maths is easier than Sejarah. And I'm not joking.

Anyways.

There was actually a heavy traffic jam there. Mel even tried on the kids cheongsam coz she was so so so thin and small at Aeon. After som tough hunting, she finally bought one. A red one with a phoenix kinda pattern on it. My second aunt got a dark green dress with a similar shape to cheongsam at Aeon earlier. We straightaway went back home to get prepared for our reunion dinner.
This year, due to some personal reasons, we had our CNY's eve dinner at Teong Ji ( Near Pantai Mas ). So after this dinner, we went back to grandma's house and I played with this cutie pie. The birthday girl from the day before.

That night, Melanie slept at my house again. We were watching fireworks, the scene was very very similar to last year, makes me go like "Dude, Dejavu?"
While looking at the firecrackers in the beautiful night sky that night, I have this very different feeling. I felt like I'm grateful for everything and I just wish that me and my family could always be healthy and happy. =]
And Erick wechat video called me that time. Melanie and my bro were using my blankets to cover their faces and listening to every single word of our conversation. Hahhaha, they are kinda cute but I couldn't stand laughing when they started "oooooooo" -ing.

31/1 - First day of CNY!

What did I do on the first day of CNY?
Hmm, let's see. Melanie, my bro and I woke up late that morning. And why did we woke up late?
The night before, me and Melanie were learning how to dance to Mr Taxi by Girl's Generation and No No No by Apink until say 2 or 3 in the morning? I couldn't remember. But it was so fun, ohh gosh. I nearly broke the replay button. Teehee xp

And for the first time in my 17 years of life, I wore a cheongsam. My very own cheongsam. Gold in colour, with buttons at the sides, has a very antique and traditional kinda look. But I love it a lot. I bought during my trip to Taiwan. Hahha.

Daddy wanted had no idea what to let us have for breakfast then suddenly he got a phone call asking him to go to McD.  And so we had McD for our breakfast. I think I set the record for the first one wearing cheongsam to McD, with Mel of course. After the heavy breakfast, we went to grandma's house!

And, the time has come. * drum roll *

ANGPAU TAKING TIME!

Hahhaha. I'll never grow old of feeling happy whenever I got an angpau. xD Me and Mel actually hid upstairs and tried to dance No no no again using her alienware and the neighbour's house's wifi (oops) to load the youtube video. I instantly got very shy when Zhi Xuan came up and wanted us to dance for him. Hhahah. Although everyone grew up, Zhi Xuan still plays with me and Mel. hahah. He'll hold my hands whenever I tried to poke him. xD

Later that afternoon, my and kor kor went back because Uncle Ahdi came to our house. And I must say, his sons were so so different from last time and they were actually very good looking. Ohh gods. Hhahaha. I remember watching a cartoon movie on someone protesting to plant a seed because everyone there was convinced that trees are harmful and in the end they finally planted a seed. I know I know, I suck at telling synopsis but seriously, the graphic was so so so so nice it caught my attention and I couldn't help wow-ing. I love stuffs with high resolution and very nice graphics. =] Not to forget a thriller movie about a dad trying to save his wife and his daughter trying to save him, running here and there away from the villians. Hhaha. We headed back to grandma's house after I took my bath.

The venue for our dinner that night was at Kim's Seafood Palace.

That night was like the BEST night, where everyone actually went wild, not just the youngsters, even the adults. They were in fact more "high" than us. Yea, including my dad. Correction, ESPECIALLY my daddy. Hahhah. But I really had fun. They blasted the karaoke there and danced and jumped here and there. There was this session where my eldest uncle, gave a talk on how grandpa isn't here with us now. But he has been busy protecting us on the other side of the world. His words made me teary. I tried my best to hold it in. And I did. lol. We expressed our appreciation and gratitude for 2 minutes. And the party resumed.

Ohh yeah, not forgetting an embarassing thing that happened that day. While I was going back to the private room after going to toilet, I saw Johnson. He saw me. I was so drop dead embarassed, ohh gosh. Hhahah, he sent me messages after that summore, ohh goshhh, hahahahha.

Mummy got drunk. >< My bro drove her and my daddy back home and came to fetch me at Kim's again to grandma's house. The youngsters ( proud to inlucde myself ) went for second round to Starbucks. Almost ALL the drinks were sold out except for Green Tea frappacino and some others that I forgot. TT Once again, I saw Johnson there. Hahhaha. We talked and shared about our childhood memories. We headed back around 1am. With this, the first day of CNY is put to an end with a round fullstop. =] <3

2/1 - Second day of CNY~~~

After soo so long. I went back to popo's house at Linggi!

Summary of the day:
Daddy took the wrong route which we ended up reaching late for almost 30min- an hour. Upon reaching, I was shocked to see all the trees in front have been cut down for replantation after that. It was so freaking hot. TT I got angpau again. And for the FIRST time in my 17 years of life, I gambled. I'm not lying. Seriously. Daddy didn't allow me to gamble. So how was my first try? Very addictive but still I was able to have my senses to only bet RM1 at most. Hahah. I took an afternoon nap and woke up to took pics and barbeque-d and took family photos and went for bath and headed back to PD.

Mel and my other cousies came back after some time after we reached grandma's house. Zhi Xuan gaev us another talk on studies in Singapore and convinced us not to go too far for studies when Singapore is like so near to Malaysia. Dad was totally convinced and I think he might be sending me there. I don't know. For now, I don't wanna know.
